Where to do it?
1. Open the "language" folder of your phpbb installation.
2. Select "en" for English, assuming your forum is in English.
3. Open the common.php file in your editing program, for example NotePad.
4. You should see now all the buttons listed with their text written on them. For our example, we're going to change the "New Topic" button.
So, find the following line:
'BUTTON_NEW_TOPIC' => 'New Topic',
Change New Topic to what you want it to be.
5. Reupload the file and do a hard refresh (Ctrl + F5).
Your button should now say what you want it to say.
